What is a Giclée print?

Stephanies prints are also called Giclée prints or fine Art prints. This means that the printing method uses high quality ink and paper standards in order to make the prints archival for many years to come. And you do like them to last for a long time - right! Yet, the print - as well as orginals must be well kept too meaning it must be protected againt direct sunlight. Then prints, orginals and as well as most artefacts will last +100 years.

Stephanies prints are printed professionally and local with 12-pigment waterbased ink on a lovely FSC-marked paper from Hähnemühle of 190 miligram. The paper has a slight rough surface that in resemblance with water color paper which the ink can really attach to.

The Giclée printing method match both color and ink apply very precisely and therefore reproduces the original art work very accurate.
